Prayer updates (February 2024)

All Saints’ Lagoa, Algave, Portugal

Please pray

  • for our younger families that we can meet their needs.
  • for our children; we are slowly developing a ministry for them but need to start to identify possible leaders for this.
  • for our ministry team as we develop their skills.
  • against the influenza that is sweeping through the congregation.
  • for the growth of our congregation as we seek to reach out to our local community.
  • for our registration with the authorities; it’s problematic but we know prayer can move mountains.

Immanuel Church, Mönchengladbach

Praise:

  • For a well-attended Christmas service.
  • For a recent adult baptism.
  • For a few newcomers.

 Prayer:

  • For spiritual growth and making good use of the upcoming Lenten season.
  • For growth in unity, friendship and fellowship among our people.
  • For more people to join our Thursday night Bible study.

Christusgemeinde Markkleeberg, Germany

Praise:

  • More than 30 adults have committed to church plant so far (plus kids). A team size of 40 now looks likely, which would be a huge blessing.
  • Starting up a charity seems less complex than expected (esp. in Germany!)
  • 80 helpers at a recent working bee at our host, a new Christian school. Many of them interested non-Christians.

Prayer:

  • Good communication during the hot pre-planting phase.
  • A growing love in our hearts for the people of Markkleeberg.
  • Provision of suitable/affordable accommodation for team members willing to move to Markkleeberg.

Wellfield Church, Leyland

Bishop Andy Lines

Rev Mark Simpson gives a video update in which he describes the context of Wellfield Church, Leyland. He asks us to pray:

  • For the church to grow in Christlikeness and godliness as they obey His Word and love one another.
  • For them to do what right whatever the costs.
