Give thanks

• For those who are finding life challenging as they contend for the faith.
• For those who are feeling bereft, broken and isolated within their dioceses.
• For our Virtual Congregation to reach out to those who seek a place of safety and who are looking for a home within our faithful global Anglican family.

• Encouraging growth in ACE and further enquiries from churches in the pipeline.

Please pray for

• Bishop Andy’s many roles and responsibilities.
• The development of various teams to help take the work in ACE forward.
• The development of regions to help spread out the load of caring for the churches.
• The needy continent of Europe.

Global Focus

Anglican International Development

Attendees of the recent monthly ANiE Zoom prayer meeting, on Friday 3rd May, heard an interview with Simon Tustin, who told us about this excellent organisation which supports practical ministries of compassion and authentic gospel ministry.

Simon Tustin is the Executive Officer of AID. He is based in Cambridge, but the main administrative centre is in Newcastle. AID partners with Anglican Dioceses, mostly in South Sudan and also in refugee camps in Kenya, DR Congo and Uganda, to assist in programmes of poverty alleviation, microfinance and microenterprise schemes, healthcare and agriculture. These programmes are usually combined where appropriate with evangelism, worship and bible teaching through local churches.

AID is Anglican and evangelical in ethos, motivated by Jesus’ heart of compassion for the most needy, but fully aligned with the African Christian understanding of the spiritual realm and the need for God’s help, unlike the secular organisations.
